Sheffield: is a complete preview of the information contained in the booklet titled A Button Collectors Notes on: Sheffield Button Manufacturers some of the text I'm importing seems to have a life of its own, the booklet layout is much neater.

Spares:  Links to illustrated lists of spare costume & uniform buttons  available for exchange or sale. ( Ideally like for like in terms of type & condition).

Unidentified:  Links to pages of buttons either in need of identification  or confirmation or both;  please take a moment out to view this page,  any assistance,  including best guesses,  will be appreciated & reciprocated wherever possible. I would be happy to host your undidentified buttons in exchange for publication rights to an obverse and a rear view of examples.

Uniform Buttons: Links to  Tramway list requesting information about some early companies buttons. Industrial & other Fire Brigades list same request.  British military just plain refuses to load; coincidentlly. (?), same thing with spares.

 Webresources:  has hyperlinks to my favourite off site button pages not already listed elsewhere;  archive search engines; museums; articles & displays on other peoples sites, etc.

At the present time some of these lead to holding pages whilst the site is under construction ( it currently takes just over five hours to load the full site & seems to work better, when adding material, if the page has been preloaded); others are in response to correspondence. If you come across a broken link not mentioned in text please report it.
