Results of the following searches 01/01/1700 – 31/12/2000 =  3016 gazette entries&
unknown number of  A2a entries but 1553 MS returns gives a clue. There were at
last count 1244 companies listed.  There were 686,822 words before abridgement.
One final statistic the file took  541.63r hours to create - but if you take off  toilet ,
tea & pain time I think it was nearer to 450; that's what I keep telling myself
anyway!  Please trust me when I say that this has provided a wealth of information
that doesn't appear in the usual searches, (enough to make me slightly less
horrified by the time it took).
Anyone that has ever used the search engine at the Gazettes won't need to ask
why I did this;  for the benefit of those of you who have not had the pleasure(?) the
search engine results might be described as idiosyncratic to say the least - I have
performed searches whilst reading the entry from my records only to be told it
doesn't exist. If you do a name/address  search & come across an interesting
bankruptcy you will frequently find that not all the entries are listed in the search
results as the gaps in statutory notifications become obvious. In fairness to Adobe
I should point out that I don’t think the problem is with their search engine but
more with the material their OCR  has to work with.     The following list is just of
the searches I did on TLG & A2a.  all were done plural & singular because there
were more results by doing so.  As soon as I have finished making it comply with
copyright law It will be available. There are further internet records from other
sources

I have access to about 30, (so much for my estimating skills I
actually have 64), or so button books and a number of
Directories so if you need copies, (within copyright
