Kemp, John. 34 Upper Tower Street.       1829-1835.BME.

I have not been able to establish a connection with the Kemp above although name, occupation &
disappearance from the Trade section at a suitable date, does rather suggest one. There are Smith
button makers in the Directories but not one I have been able to place with Smith below. One unproven
connection is that of associating backmarks W.R. Smith used the Sunburst pattern which is common on  
S. K & W.  and  S. & W. buttons  around the shank.
